Sewage Odors
The FreshStart process is very effective in eliminating the odors emitted by sewer line break or biological spills. For the odor removal process to be totally effective, a licensed contractor must have removed all the solid waste materials that may have been deposited, and the spillage area to be treated must be contained in such a manner that the area can maintain a sufficient concentration of hydroxyl radicals to break down the remaining surface and airborne biological contaminants.
Experience has taught us that we will also need to treat the areas above and/or adjacent to the sewer line break or spillage area, since the existence of airborne contaminants in the living area is what initially alerts most home owner to the problem; and until both areas are treated, a lingering odor will be present.
